Residents can give blood at locations across Tarrant County Thursday, Feb. 9, in the second annual Big Give drive to replenish supplies at Carter BloodCare. The first event last year collected 167 units of blood in a single day.
Big Give was the idea of Ann Farmer, a retired community resource coordinator for Tarrant County, after the unexpected death of Farmer’s husband who was a long-time surgeon in Fort Worth.
