Construction has started on a new $8.7 million, 41,000-square-foot medical office building located on the campus of Lake Granbury Medical Center, a Community Health Systems affiliated hospital near Fort Worth in Granbury. The Sanders Trust, a Birmingham, Ala.-based health care real estate developer, is acting as developer and will own and provide property management services for the building upon its completion.
Construction is expected to be completed by June 2014. The new facility will house multiple Lake Granbury Medical Center departments, including orthopedics, outpatient radiology, cardiology and sports medicine. Plans also call for additional physician services within the building.
The 83-bed hospital offers a range of services, including inpatient, outpatient and emergency care and has a staff of 116 physicians representing 24 specialties. The Sanders Trust has selected Dallas-based Skiles Group to serve as general contractor for the project. Ascension Group Architects of Arlington is administering design services and Cadence Bank in Birmingham is providing financing.
