AZZ inc, announced Monday that the company has hired a new president and CEO. Tom E. Ferguson will join AZZ as president and CEO and also been elected to serve on AZZ’s Board of Directors.
Ferguson, 57, was previously CEO of FlexSteel Pipeline Technologies Inc., a provider of pipeline technology products and services. Ferguson spent 25 years serving in various executive capacities with Flowserve Corp., a global provider of fluid motion and control products and services, and its affiliates. Ferguson began working in his new position effective Nov. 4.
Effective as of Oct. 27, Dana L. Perry assumed the duties of president and CEOI of AZZ on an interim basis following the unexpected death of David H. Dingus on that same day. Perry will relinquish those duties to Ferguson and will continue to serve AZZ in his capacity as senior vice president of finance and CFO.
Fort Worth-based AZZ is a provider of specialty electrical equipment and services to the power generation, transmission, distribution, and industrial markets as well as a provider of hot dip galvanizing services to the North American steel fabrication market.
