Concussion founders end partnership

Allen Wallach and Andrew Yanez, founding partners of Fort Worth-based advertising agency Concussion LLP, have ended their 12-year partnership and will operate separate firms. Effective immediately, Wallach will continue to manage Concussion’s business and Yanez will launch his new firm, PYTCHBLACK. The terms of their agreement remain confidential, and both said it is an amicable and mutually beneficial arrangement.

Wallach, CEO, and Yanez, chief creative officer, grew the original, two-partner shop to the largest agency in Fort Worth to a high of 65 staffers and $24 million in annual billings. Under their leadership, Concussion engaged high-profile, national brands such as Konami, Texas Motor Speedway, Dean Foods’ Borden Cremora Non-Dairy Creamer, Chesapeake Energy, Brinker International’s On The Border restaurants and Bell Helicopter.

Local charitable agencies and arts organizations the partners have worked with include Downtown Fort Worth Initiatives Inc., the Child Study Center, Gill Children’s Services, the MAIN ST. Fort Worth Arts Festival, MusicArté, the American Heart Association, Lighthouse for the Blind, the Buckets and Boots Foundation and the Fort Worth Symphony Orchestra.
