Lena Pope to install new church organ

A new electronic organ is coming to Lena Pope’s Marty Leonard Community Chapel in Fort Worth.

The new instrument, a Johannus Ecclesia T-370, will be installed July 25-28. The organ’s custom design work on the console’s panel reflects various interior and exterior details of the awarding-winning chapel built by E. Fay Jones.

Lena Pope, which focuses on counseling and education for children and families, worked with Classical Organs of Texas and formed a committee under the guidance of several master organists to select the instrument.

“We are very appreciative of the counsel of Ed Ackerman, Dale Bench, Glenda Robinson, and Tim Wilborn, all master organists themselves,” Marty Leonard said. “We hope to have them all perform in the fall to unveil the new organ and showcase their talents on the breathtaking instrument.”
