Local agency brings home national award

The Balcom Agency of Fort Worth received a national Gold ADDY Award for its Chippewa Boots History brochure, designed for Justin Brands, at the American Advertising Federation’s (AAF) 2013 American Advertising Awards. The national AAF award event took place on June 8 at the Arizona Biltmore hotel in Phoenix, Ariz., in conjunction with the AAF National Conference, ADMERICA! Designed by Balcom Senior Art Director Trey Sprinkle, the Chippewa Boots History brochure won a Gold ADDY and Best of Show–Print in February at the 2013 American Advertising Federation – Fort Worth (AAF–FW) local ADDY Awards, the first level of the three-tier competition. The brochure went on to win a district Gold ADDY in the second level of the ADDY Awards, advancing it to the national competition. The national Gold ADDY Award recognizes the highest level of creative excellence in the advertising industry. With over 35,000 entries this year, the ADDY Awards is the advertising industry’s largest competitive competition. “We are completely overwhelmed by our first Gold ADDY win at the national level,” said Stuart Balcom, president and CEO of the Fort Worth-based advertising, interactive and public relations firm. “It’s an incredible honor for us and our clients at Justin Brands. I couldn’t be more proud of the hard work and creative excellence the B Team has delivered – it has definitely paid off.” BalcomAgency.com
