Hundreds of demonstrators marched in Fort Worth Sept. 20 as part of the “Global Climate Strike” that generated climate change protests around the world.

The local protesters held signboards and chanted the slogan “climate change has got to go” as they circled Fort Worth City Hall and nearby streets. The Fort Worth march was organized by the Greater Fort Worth Sierra Club along with other local organizations including Liveable Arlington and Tarrant Coalition for Environmental Awareness.

The march included people of all ages, as organizers called young people, parents, workers and all concerned citizens to help stop “business as usual in the face of the climate emergency.”

Climate activists also organized strikes in Dallas, Granbury and Sherman.
