No joke: Fort Worth comedy troupe exporting laffs to second location in Dallas

Four Day Weekend

Fort Worth’s Four Day Weekend Comedy, the 20-year-old improvisation group that has won applause for both their comedy and their entrepreneurship, has announced plans to open a second location off Lower Greenville in Dallas in 2018.

According to a news release, the “new 150-seat Four Day Weekend Dallas Theater will be a throwback to the golden age of entertainment, where Copacabana meets old Las Vegas Rat Pack.”

The newly remodeled theater will be cabaret-style seating for 110 downstairs and 40 in the balcony. The Dallas show will feature some of Four Day Weekend’s signature improvisation scenes, songs, and sketches. But along with Four Day’s veteran cast, there will be new cast members.

“So many of our audience members make the drive from Dallas to Fort Worth each weekend, we decided it made more sense for us to bring the comedy to them,” said Four Day Weekend co-founder David Wilk. “We love the city and the people of Fort Worth, and we’re excited to build those kinds of relationships in Dallas.”

Regular show times will be Fridays and Saturdays at 9 p.m. Tickets are $25 each (including tax and ticket fees). The new theater is located just off historic Lower Greenville at 5106 Sears Street, Dallas 75206 and is located across the street from the Truck Yard and next door to Trader Joe’s.
