Architecture & Engineering Andrew Ickert has been named vice president and manager of the Fort Worth office of Halff Associates Inc. Ickert will be responsible for leading operations and expansion of the Fort Worth office through its civil engineering, water resources, transportation, land development, planning, environmental and surveying services. Ickert succeeds J. Russell Killen, who recently was named executive vice president and appointed to Halff’s corporate management team. With more than 12 years of experience at Halff, Ickert has served as project manager on a variety of engineering projects for the public and private sectors. He is a member of the American Society of Civil Engineers and Texas Floodplain Management Association and is a certified floodplain manager and licensed professional engineer in Texas.

Energy Schramm Inc., a Pennsylvania-based manufacturer of mobile, land-based hydraulic drill rigs, appointed Kelly Shideler to the new position of oil and gas business development manager based in Houston. Shideler’s responsibilities will include the energy sector in the south central region of the United States including shale development areas in Texas, Oklahoma, Louisiana, New Mexico and Arkansas. Prior to joining Schramm, Shideler was vice president, land rig business at TSC and had several positions at oil field equipment and service provider TESCO, including executive assignments in China and Russia.
Law Jackson Walker LLP elected Sara McEown and Colin Murchison to the firm’s partnership. McEown, an attorney in the litigation section, represents clients in complex business, construction, energy, real estate, and oil and gas matters. She has an educational and professional background in business and, in particular, in the construction industry. She was certified in 2002 as a certified professional constructor-associate constructor by the American Institute of Constructors. McEown also worked for a commercial general contractor prior to attending law school. A member of the wealth planning team, Murchison focuses his practice on probate, probate litigation, guardianships, and estate planning and tax, with an emphasis on the taxation of individuals, estates and trusts. He is also an experienced probate litigator representing clients in will and trust contests and guardianship disputes. He is board certified in estate planning and probate law and is certified by the State Bar of Texas as an attorney ad litem and a guardian ad litem. Shoshana Thoma-Isgur is a new partner in the investment management, hedge funds and alternative investments practice at K&L Gates LLP’s Fort Worth office. She advises on investment management and securities compliance matters, including investment fund formation, federal and state securities regulations and regulatory examinations. Cantey Hanger partner Caroline Harrison has passed the written examination to become board certified in labor and employment law as designated by the Texas Board of Legal Specialization. Nonprofit Organizations Volunteers of America Texas appointed Jennifer Leney as vice president of finance. She will oversee the organization’s financial operations across Texas, including in Dallas, Fort Worth, Houston and San Antonio. Additionally, she will be a key member of the organization’s executive leadership team. Prior to joining Volunteers of America Texas, Leney was chief operating officer for Christian Community Action. She has nearly 20 years of experience in finance and more than 10 years of experience in the nonprofit sector with a focus on social services.
Real Estate The Greysteel Co., a Washington, D.C., real estate investment services firm, launched Greysteel Texas LLC, a wholly owned subsidiary of the company based in the Dallas-Fort Worth area. The company appointed real estate veteran Boyan Radic as managing director and practice leader of Greysteel Texas’ multifamily division. Greysteel Texas will initially represent private and institutional investors, developers and lenders in investment sales and financing of private capital and middle-market multifamily properties and portfolios in North Texas and the south central United States.

As senior project designer, he brings 30 years of experience providing designs for primary, secondary and higher education facilities; lifestyle centers; auto dealerships; corporate office buildings; interiors and mixed-use developments.
