Percival to lead Plaza Medical Center communications efforts
Plaza Medical Center of Fort Worth has named Pamela Percival as director of community and public relations.
In this new position, Percival will work to strengthen Plaza’s community connections and to share health care information with patients and the community. She will also provide community and public relations support for Plaza’s affiliate facility, the ER at Burleson, a freestanding emergency room in Burleson.
Prior to joining Plaza Medical Center, Percival was corporate communications director for Fort Worth-based FTS International. She has more than 25 years of professional communications experience and began her career as a journalist, working in both print and television news.
“Pamela brings a wealth of communications expertise to our organization,” said Plaza Medical Center CEO Clay Franklin. “We are excited to have her lead our efforts to share important information about the high quality services that our expert health care team provides for our community.”
Percival serves on the Tarrant County Advisory Council for the Salvation Army, is a volunteer mentor for Big Brothers Big Sisters, is a sustaining member of the Junior League of Fort Worth and serves on her church’s video production team.

Aaron Youngblood joined Balcom Agency as cinematographer and video editor.
After earning his bachelor’s degree in biology from Baylor University in 2005, Youngblood spent five years coordinating and teaching first-year biology at the university before pursuing a career in film. While earning his master’s degree in communications/film and digital media, he produced several feature-length pictures and award-winning shorts, including the best picture and audience choice film in Baylor’s 2013 Black Glasses Film Festival and an official selection at the 2013 Dallas International Film Festival’s North Texas College Showcase.
Aviation
American Airlines Group Inc. appointed Kimball Stone as vice president of flight and Lorne Cass as vice president of integrated operations control. Stone succeeds John Hale, who is returning to flying full time for American. During 26 years at American, Stone has had numerous jobs in the flight, maintenance and dispatch sectors. He will now lead the airline’s team of more than 15,000 professional aviators. Prior to joining American Airlines, he served in the U.S. Army with assignments to the Special Operations Command, Central Command and the 1st Armored Division.
With more than 35 years of industry experience, Cass most recently was director of airport surface efficiency in the Federal Aviation Administration’s Air Traffic Organization. He began his airline career as a customer service agent for Western Airlines and later worked for several years leading dispatch, meteorology, air traffic control and emergency response functions for Northwest Airlines and Delta Air Lines. In addition to his pilot ratings, he has FAA certification as an aircraft dispatcher and air traffic control specialist.

Daired Ogle, owner of Daireds Salon & Spa Pangéa, has been appointed chairman of the 2015-2016 government affairs committee for the Professional Beauty Association. Ogle, who has owned and operated his namesake salon and spa for more than 36 years, has been involved in state and national lobbying efforts against deregulation of the beauty industry.

Attorney Mattie J. Parker has been named chief of staff for the mayor of Fort Worth and the City Council. Before practicing with Harris, Finley & Bogle PC, Parker spent a decade in national and state public affairs. She was the district director and campaign manager for U.S. Rep. Kay Granger (R-Fort Worth), was chief of staff to State Rep. Phil King (R-Weatherford) and executive assistant to former Texas House Speaker Tom Craddick in Austin. Parker serves on the board of directors for Recovery Resource Council in Fort Worth and is an active member of the Tarrant County Young Lawyers Association and the Tarrant County Bar Association.

Euless resident Ellen Jones and First Command Financial Services Inc. received the Individual Volunteer Award and Corporate Volunteer Award, respectively, from United Way of Tarrant County. Jones’ volunteer service with United Way spans two decades. She serves on the United Way Steering Committee and Education Council and is a member of the allocations team. Jones is president of the Hurst-Euless-Bedford Independent School District Board of Trustees. Under the direction of Employee Campaign Managers Marnie Flynn and Michelle Eiland, First Command’s United Way campaign grew by 8 percent over 2013. Flynn and Eiland worked with United Way staff to add best practices to the campaign, along with original ideas that took advantage of the culture of First Command.

Bryan is a member of Leadership Fort Worth and Leadership Colleyville. He also serves on the board of the Tarrant County College Foundation and the Greater Fort Worth/Arlington Chapter of the Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation.

TTI Inc. promoted Susan Sumners to senior vice president, information services. She is replacing David Minter, senior vice president business administration and information services, who is retiring from TTI with 32 years of service. Sumners led the development of the Europe and Asia systems and TTI Express along with the integration of many acquisitions into the TTI system. Sumners assumes direct responsibility for managing TTI’s information technology services for North America, Europe and Asia.
