PlainsCapital names Hambrick as Texas region chairman

Steve Hambrick, the current Fort Worth region chairman of PlainsCapital Bank, has been promoted to Texas region chairman, the Dallas-based bank said Feb. 26. In his new role, Hambrick is responsible for management, business development and recruitment for PlainsCapital Bank’s Texas markets.

Hambrick joined PlainsCapital Bank in November 2004 serving as Fort Worth president. In January 2012, he was promoted to Fort Worth region chairman. With more than 30 years of experience in the finance and banking industries, his expertise includes commercial banking and loan workouts. Hambrick received a finance degree from Southern Methodist University and is an active member of the Fort Worth community. He currently serves on the boards of directors for Boys & Girls Clubs of Arlington and Downtown Fort Worth Inc. He is also a member of the Tarrant County Bankers Association and OU Club of Fort Worth.
