Auto dealers honor Roger Williams with Legends Award

Roger Williams

U.S. Rep. Roger Williams, R-Texas, will be inducted into the Texas Automobile Dealers Association (TADA) Hall of Legends at our annual conference in San Antonio on April 30. Congressman Williams will join only 17 other dealers in the 102-year history of TADA to be recognized with this distinguished award. It is the highest honor presented to a Texas franchised dealer for service to the association, the industry, their employees, and their community.

Williams is chairman of Roger Williams Chrysler, Jeep, Dodge, and Ram – a family business started by his father in 1939 – and has been an instrumental leader in the community since the beginning of his career. He encompasses the ideals of TADA by supporting community organizations such as Cook Children’s Hospital, Parker Paws, the Weatherford Pythian Home, Tarrant Area Food Bank, the Fort Worth Zoo, Hope Farm, Texas Christian University, Weatherford College and Little League baseball as well as area churches, schools and volunteer fire departments.

Currently representing U.S. House District 25, Williams has been instrumental in advancing positive legislation and has been the voice of small business owners all over the state and country. His business experience has made him an effective leader and legislator for the citizens of Texas. Williams authored a tax reform package called Jumpstart America that served as a framework for the recently passed tax reform legislation. Through his leadership on the House Committee on Financial Services, Williams has worked tirelessly for Main Street businesses throughout the state.

The TADA Legends award recognizes auto dealers who have created a body of work in the industry and community that sets them apart from others. It is a distinction for those who represent the best of the best, whether as a car or truck dealer, a community servant or a leader in any of the other essential areas of people’s lives where Texas dealers lead and serve. The award goes to those dealers whose lifetime of achievement has earned them the title of Legend. We are thrilled to give this award to Roger Williams, a well deserving recipient of this highest honor.
