The Chisholm Trail Parkway development in southwest Fort Worth has landed a new entertainment complex.

StreetLevel Investments has announced an agreement with Dallas-based ShowBiz Cinemas to open a 65,000 square foot site in the spring of 2017 near the intersection of Chisholm Trail Parkway and McPherson. The opening will coincide with the beginning of the blockbuster movie season, according to a ShowBiz Cinemas release.

The theatre will include SDX (Superior Digital Experience). The large auditoriums will feature approximately 70 foot wall to wall and ceiling to floor silver screens, Dolby ATMOS 3D surround sound, oversized leather reclining chairs, and the latest 6500 watt Barco projectors for the best possible picture.

The new site will have more than just cinemas, according to ShowBiz Cinemas president Kevin Mitchell. It will be a destination entertainment center with 10 cinema auditoriums, 14 boutique bowling lanes and a game room, with state of the art digital and audio experience throughout the building. The facility will offer an expanded menu with quality food and beverage choices for everyone.

“We are passionate about exceeding the expectations of our customers and providing an outstanding overall entertainment experience” said Mitchell.

ShowBiz Cinemas will also offer special events and party facilities including sporting events, college and local school programs and community gatherings.

ShowBiz Cinemas currently has 43 screens in Texas, including a location in Granbury. In October, the company announced an expansion strategy that included a financial partnership with Capital One Bank and development partnerships with NewQuest Properties, BPI Realty Services and The Consortium Firm International.

“ShowBiz Cinemas is an industry leader in movie theater entertainment in Texas, and NewQuest is very pleased to have them joining our development at Chambers Town Center,” said Shannon Parker, marketing director for NewQuest Properties, a commercial developer based in Houston.

ShowBiz Cinemas at that time also announced plans for four new locations, three in the greater Houston area, with the full expansion doubling the number of the company’s screens. That will make ShowBiz Cinemas one of the leading privately owned theatre operators in Texas, according to the company.
