Eight awards presented to Fort Worth Architects to recognize Excellence in Design.
The American Institute of Architects Fort Worth conducted their annual Excellence in Architecture Design Awards Jury on Oct. 18 at the Modern Art Museum of Fort Worth.
The AIA Fort Worth Design Awards program recognizes outstanding architectural, urban design and unbuilt projects by architects practicing in the Fort Worth chapter to promote public interest in design excellence. The jury led by Roberto de Leon FAIA, of de Leon & Primmer Architecture Workshop in Louisville Kentucky, also included Taryn Kinney AIA of DLR Group in Houston and David Webber AIA of Webber + Studio in Austin.
The event reviewed design work for 38 projects and the jurors selected eight projects which they felt best represented excellent design work by local architects. Two projects were awarded the highest Honor Award, three received Merit Awards and two were noted for Studio Awards.
Winners will be honored during the AIA Fort Worth Awards Gala to be held at the Kimbell Art Museum in February 2017.
