A 30-acre retail and apartment project is coming to Grapevine near the current Grapevine Mills project.
Dallas developer Billingsley Co. received approval from the Grapevine City Council on April 17 for the 4-building, 27,400-square-foot-retail center called The Shacks as well as for an adjacent multi-family project. South of the retail portion, Billingsley plans two-stand-alone, four-story structures, called The Baker and The Wallis. The buildings will be built in historic styles with brick and stone exteriors, some with a brownstone-style look.
In total, 432 multifamily units would be built. The living areas will be connected to the retail areas via a series of walking trails, small parks and other community spaces.
Billingsley Co. has owned the property for 30 years.
