Alamo Drafthouse opening its first Tarrant location; set to premiere with Avengers:Endgame

Each auditorium is equipped with state-of-the-art Sony 4K Digital Cinema Laser Phosphor Projectors and 7.1 Dolby Surround Sound.

Alamo Drafthouse Cinema in North Richland Hills, the cinema chain’s first location in Tarrant County, is set to officially open on April 25.

As pre-sale tickets for the record-breaking “Avengers: Endgame” dwindles in many area theaters, the new Alamo Drafthouse opening on the exact day of the movie’s release likely provides a fresh option for Tarrant County moviegoers.

Tickets for movies in the North Richland Hills theater, located at 8380 Davis Blvd., go on sale Wednesday afternoon, April 17.

The new location expands Austin-based Alamo Drafthouse’s presence in North Texas, where currently five theaters are open. Another location in Frisco is closing in on its opening day.

In North Texas, the first Alamo Drafthouse opened in Richardson in 2013. An Alamo theater in Denton opened last year, marking the fifth one in the region.

“It has always been our goal to one day open a theater on the Tarrant County side of DFW,” said Bill DiGaetano, CEO of Alamo Drafthouse North Texas. “As a resident of North Tarrant myself, I am thrilled to finally open Alamo Drafthouse North Richland Hills and share our concept with friends, neighbors, and residents throughout the area.”

A total of 8 screens accounts for a combined seating for 927 guests in the new North Richland Hills location. It includes a 240-seater premium large format theater.

All the auditorium has luxury recliners and the full-service dine-in theater experience Alamo is associated with.

The food menus often change as it is themed to match specific films. The Alamo Drafthouse said the North Richland Hills location will offer an expanded menu designed for younger crowds.

As a first in the company’s over 20 years of history, the new Alamo North Richland Hills will feature a separate party room, available for birthday parties or any other special events.

The new location also houses Vetted Well, a stand-alone restaurant and sports bar with a patio. The full-service bar features 31 craft beers, 20 of which is made in North Texas, and a root beer on tap and craft cocktails.

The theater is offering a 25% discount on food and non-alcoholic drinks to guests from April 25 to May 2. From May 3 to May 9, a 10 percent discount will be applied.
