The AMC Dine-In Clearfork 8 opened May 22 at The Shops at Clearfork and the latest offering from the Kansas City-based theater chain includes a few new features “coming soon” to future movie theaters.
First, the theater features a full menu, not an unusual offering in theaters at the moment. But this AMC will have a Dine-In Delivery to Seat concept.
AMC Dine-In Clearfork 8 offers a slightly different take on that model. Delivery to Seat allows customers to stop by the concession area and choose from a full menu of fresh entrees, appetizers and desserts. Once the food is ready, an AMC employee delivers it right to the seat, often before the movie begins.
“With AMC Dine-In, we’ve upped the movie-going experience by bringing you the best of both worlds – a restaurant and movie theater – as one amazing experience,” said Jennifer Douglass, vice president, AMC Dine-In operations. “At AMC Dine-In Clearfork 8, we are proud to offer the most popular options from our high quality, delicious, made-from-scratch menu, along with Delivery-to-Seat service, a comfortable ‘eat-at-seat’ experience, and, of course, the always impeccable presentation on screen.”
The menu includes artisan pepperoni flatbread, chicken bacon mac and cheese, southwest chicken bowl and hand-breaded chicken tenders. AMC is also introducing a build-your-own burger, allowing patrons to customize their meals. They can also find traditional movie favorites like popcorn, candy and soft drinks.
In addition to the AMC Dine-In Delivery to Seat, the theater also offers amenities including power recliner seats, some now with heated seats, online ticketing, reserved seating and ticketless entry, and a Dolby cinema.
And for moviegoers who are at least 21, AMC’s MacGuffins bar will offer beer, wine and cocktails before, during or after the movie.
AMC (NYSE: AMC) had about 649 theaters with 8,224 screens in the United States at the end of 2017 and 365 theaters and 2,945 screens in other countries. The company was founded in 1920.
