Castro Property Group, comprised of American Idol finalist Jason Castro, Michael Castro and Matt Keeton, has affiliated with Coldwell Banker Residential Brokerage’s Lakewood office in Dallas, Coldwell Banker said in a news release.
Jason Castro, the fourth-place finalist on Season 7 of American Idol, is a native of East Dallas.
Following his time on American Idol, he released three albums and toured internationally for several years before settling down in Dallas, the release said.
He began his real estate career by renovating homes throughout Lakewood, eventually earning his real estate license to sell and negotiate his own home transactions.
Castro’s brother, Michael, is also a touring artist who settled back in Dallas after living in Nashville and Los Angeles for many years.
He began his real estate career investing in residential real estate and earned his real estate license, shortly after. In addition to forming the Castro Property Group, Castro and his brother formed the Castro band. Their latest single, Forever Texas, was commissioned by VisitDallas as the city’s official theme song.
Matt Keeton, a graduate from Dallas Baptist University with a degree in kinesiology, worked alongside nationally-recognized physicians, physical therapists and professional organizations at the start of his healthcare career. Keeton then transitioned into real estate sales after more than a decade in healthcare and fitness.

Formerly with Modtown Realty Group, Jason Castro has proven residential real estate expertise throughout the Lakewood and East Dallas area with $6 million in closed sales volume in his first full year in real estate sales.
Upon transitioning to Coldwell Banker Residential Brokerage, Castro formed Castro Property Group to better serve the needs of his growing client base.
