Atlas to lease in new Sundance Square building

The Fort Worth office of Atlas Resource Partners LP, an oil and gas exploration and production company, has completed a lease for more than 24,000 square feet of space in The Westbrook, one of Sundance Square’s newest buildings opening in November.

Atlas will move into the entire third and fourth floors of the building with 13,874 square feet on the third floor and 10,777 square feet on the fourth floor. The six-story Westbrook is located on the west side of the new plaza at 425 Houston St. and features more than 81,000 square feet, including 12,393 square feet of retail space. Robert Gamblin, senior leasing representative, and Bill Booker, director of leasing with Sundance Square, and Mark Schumacher, executive vice president, of Atlas Resource Partners, negotiated the deal.

Sundance Square is nearing the end of construction on the new Sundance Square Plaza, which broke ground in May 2012. The project includes three new buildings, restaurants, shops, fountains, a stage, and seating throughout the plaza. The opening celebration is slated for Nov. 1-3. Atlas Resource Partners trades on the New York Stock Exchange under the symbol “ARP.” The company is an exploration and production master limited partnership, which owns an interest in more than 12,000 producing natural gas and oil wells, located primarily in Appalachia, the Barnett Shale, the Raton Basin and Black Warrior Basin. bdillard@bizpress.net
