Austin-based accelerator Capital Factory opens in Dallas, looks for Fort Worth connections

Austin-based accelerator Capital Factory is working with The Dallas Entrepreneur Center to open a North Texas location at The Centrum in Uptown Dallas.

Capital Factory aims to be the center for entrepreneurs in the state and has indicate in the past it would like to have locations in all of Texas’ major cities. In a blog post announcing the opening of the Dallas location, Capital Factory noted it wants to make connections with Fort Worth entrepreneurs as well.

“We’re opening a location in Uptown, but we realize that one way that the DFW region is different than Austin is that there are so many different population centers,” according to the blog post. “Being part of The DEC network will help connect our location to the many other DEC locations around Dallas. We’ll continue to look for partnerships in Fort Worth and other locations that The DEC doesn’t have a presence. We can’t do this all by ourselves.”

The Centrum just completed a $25 million renovation that includes a community courtyard, terrace, gym, and multiple food concepts, including Mexican restaurant Matitos, sushi restaurant Steel, coffeeshop Mudsmith and Italian restaurant Mille Lire, which just opened.
