Boutique apartments, townhomes coming to The Foundry district

Eight new townhomes and Phase I of a boutique apartment complex called Fort201 at The Foundry will bring more residents to the fast-growing area of the city north of West Seventh Street.

“The Townhomes at The Foundry are in the framing stage now, we expect them to be ready for sale by July,” said Chris Powers Jr. founder and CEO of Fort Captial. “We are breaking ground on Fort201, a boutique apartment complex to be completed in two phases. Phase I will see the completion of the first 42 apartments, followed nine months later by an additional 30 units.”

Fort Worth-based Fort Capital has begun construction on two new residential properties in The Foundry, a new mixed-use development located in Fort Worth’s West Seventh Street district headed by M2G Ventures. Slated for completion in late 2017, The Townhomes and Fort201 at The Foundry are the first residential properties to break ground in the up-and-coming district located on the corner of Carroll and Weisenberger streets, just north of West Seventh Street.

Located along Currie and Foch Streets, The Townhomes at The Foundry will include eight stand-alone “smart-units” and will feature amenities such as granite countertops, stainless steel appliances, nail-down oak floors, and Smart Home automation, which gives residents control of their home’s door locks, lighting, and surveillance capabilities from their smartphone.

The Townhomes at The Foundry stand three stories tall, the two bedroom and two-and-a-half bathroom townhomes will each contain a mudroom, rooftop terrace with a wet bar and cooking area, two-car garage, and a study. The 2,135-square-foot floor plans will also feature 11-foot kitchen ceilings on the second floor and 10-foot bedroom ceilings on the third floor. Pricing will start at $430,000. Townhome residents can also expect low utility costs due to Fort Capital’s high-energy efficient design and state-of-the-art construction.

Fort201, Fort Capital’s luxury multi-family project at The Foundry, broke ground in late 2016. Located at 201 Wimberley Street, Fort201 will offer two separate buildings connected by a rooftop deck with lounge area and communal workspace. A total of 72 contemporary studio, one, and two-bedroom apartment residences will be offered, each with technology upgrades, Carrara marble countertops, stainless steel appliances, and an electronic doorman. With monthly rents starting at $1,075, Fort Capital aims to generate interest among young professionals keen on living in an innovative community near West Seventh Street.
