BRIT, GSA forge partnership

The Botanical Research Institute of Texas (BRIT) and the U.S. General Services Administration (GSA) will announce on June 9 a collaborative partnership to design high performance landscapes that reduce water usage, improve the ecosystem and increase habitats for bees.

The partnership includes the study of various native plants to help GSA make landscaping water-smart, eco-friendly and cost-effective choices for federally-owned properties.

Based in Fort Worth, the Botanical Research Institute of Texas is a nonprofit, international research and education center that studies plants and teaches about their importance to the world.
