CBRE announced Jan. 31 that its hospitality consulting and advisory services for the South-Central U.S. region is moving its base of operations from Houston to Dallas. The south-central advisory practice will now be based out of CBRE’s office located at 2100 McKinney Avenue in Dallas.
“Dallas is the quintessential location for focusing our services throughout the South-Central U.S. In addition to DFW’s centralized location, transportation hub and growing tourism, Dallas is home to many hotel franchises, representatives, management companies, developers and investors, as well as an essential financial market for our industry. This restructuring will enable us to expand our advisory services to ultimately better serve a broader range of our hotel clients,” said Jeff Binford, director with CBRE Hotels Consulting, based in Dallas.
CBRE Hotels will continue to maintain a dedicated presence in Houston through its capital markets professionals, including hospitality specialists in investment sales and debt and structured finance.
In addition to traditional market feasibilities and appraisals provided by the advisory services professionals, CBRE Hotels’ expanded, national consulting and advisory platform will include hotel strategy, research and development, development/renovation services, acquisition due diligence, asset management and receiverships services as well as the selections of hotel developers, management and brands. The CBRE Hotels Consulting headquarters for the Americas is still based in Denver, Colorado led by Tom Huffsmith, senior managing director.
