City of Fort Worth seeking minority-owned businesses for arena project

The City of Fort Worth is looking to break ground on its Multipurpose Arena project in February 2017 and is calling for contractors – specifically minority contractors – to work on the development.

The city will use the following events to promote the project to minority-owned companies:

Open House

Date: June 13, June 15

Location: Will Rogers Memorial Center, 3401 West Lancaster Ave., Fort Worth, Texas, 76107

Activities: Informational meetings about the project, networking opportunities

North Central Texas Regional Certification Agency (NCTRCA) Certification Workshop

Date: July 7

Location: City of Fort Worth’s Business Assistance Center, 1150 South Freeway, Fort Worth, Texas, 76104

Activities: Certification training, flier and brochure handouts

U.S. Pan Asian Chamber of Commerce – Southwest: 15th Annual Asian Business Expo

Date: Aug. 11

Location: Arlington Convention Center, 1200 Ballpark Way, Arlington, Texas, 76011

Activities: Booth setup, interviews, flier and brochure handouts

Agenda for Building Capacity (ABC) Business-to-Business Roundtable Networking

Date: September 2016 (date to be determined)
