Diners, Drive-Ins, Dives and baseball? Guy Fieri coming to Texas Live!

The Texas Rangers and The Cordish Companies frying up a little something different for food offerings at Texas Live! Celebrity chef and Food Network personality Guy Fieri will bring a restaurant concept to the development.

“We are thrilled to make this announcement with our development partner, the Texas Rangers, and to welcome Guy Fieri to Texas Live!,” said Zed Smith, chief operating officer of The Cordish Companies, the Rangers partner in the $250 million dining, entertainment and hospitality district.

Guy Fieri, Emmy-award winning chef, restaurateur, author and TV personality most famous for his show, Diners, Drive-Ins and Dives, and his spikey blonde hair, will be launching a one-of-a-kind, flagship restaurant concept for the project that will be developed specifically with Texas Live! in mind.

“It’s awesome to be partnering with the Texas Rangers and The Cordish Companies to bring a restaurant concept to Arlington,” said Fieri. “The Cordish team and I recently opened a big time concept at Fourth Street Live! in Louisville, Kentucky, and to now bring that energy to Arlington and the great state of Texas is something really special to me.”

Fieri joins previously announced anchor venues, Rangers Republic, Live! Arena and Arlington Backyard, within the $250 million world-class dining, entertainment and hospitality district.

Texas Live’s initial phase includes 200,000 square feet of dining and entertainment space, a 5,000-person capacity outdoor event pavilion, a 300-room convention hotel and 35,000 square feet of meeting and convention space. It is set to open in the spring of 2018. The Texas Rangers and Cordish announced Thursday that groundbreaking for the project will occur next week.
