El Pollo Loco expands into North Texas

El Pollo Loco plans to enter the Dallas market in 2016.

El Pollo Loco plans to enter the Dallas market following the California-based grilled chicken chain’s recent Houston entry.

Company and franchise restaurants will greet the Dallas area in the first half of 2016, according to company sources.

Co-developing the Dallas market is Chicken Time Holdings LP, an affiliate of The Henry Investment Group (HIG). The franchisee will open seven Dallas-area locations in the next four years. Cities and locations were not specified.

“There is tremendous opportunity in the Dallas market and we have identified numerous potential sites,” said Steve Sather, president and CEO of El Pollo Loco, commenting in a news release.
