El Pollo Loco expands into North Texas

🕐 1 min read

El Pollo Loco plans to enter the Dallas market following the California-based grilled chicken chain’s recent Houston entry.

Company and franchise restaurants will greet the Dallas area in the first half of 2016, according to company sources.

Co-developing the Dallas market is Chicken Time Holdings LP, an affiliate of The Henry Investment Group (HIG). The franchisee will open seven Dallas-area locations in the next four years. Cities and locations were not specified.

“There is tremendous opportunity in the Dallas market and we have identified numerous potential sites,” said Steve Sather, president and CEO of El Pollo Loco, commenting in a news release.

“We continue to accept inquiries from potential franchise partners to help us grow in other Texas markets and throughout the Southwest,” Sather said.

An HIG spokesman said he looks forward to serving North Texas customers.

“Our values closely align with those of El Pollo Loco’s, as the company

is focused on providing a great customer experience, high quality food

and a dedicated staff, and as a Dallas based company, we believe the

concept will resonate well with local residents,” said David Henry,

principal and CEO of The Henry Investment Group.

“We are excited to be part of a strong and growing brand that we believe in

and look forward to opening our first El Pollo Loco restaurant in 2016,” Henry said.

El Pollo Loco specializes in citrus-marinated and fire-grilled chicken entrees using fresh ingredients inspired by authentic Mexican recipes. More information is available at www.elpolloloco.com.

The company is seeking qualified, multi-unit operators in Northern California, Arizona, Colorado, New Mexico, Nevada and Texas. More information is available at https://elpolloloco.com/franchising/.
