DALLAS (AP) — An ex-public housing official for a Dallas-area city must serve a year and a day in prison for using government money in a scam involving drugs and hotel stays.
A federal judge in Dallas on Wednesday sentenced 37-year-old Jennifer Tyson of Rockwall.
Tyson formerly managed the Rockwall Housing Development Corporation, which operates a 36-apartment complex called the Meadows. She pleaded guilty in December to conspiracy to commit theft concerning programs receiving federal funds.
Tyson must also repay more than $195,000.
