🕐 1 min read

In a unanimous decision, an appeals court in Fort Worth overturned a $7.1 million 2011 judgement awarded to a Fort Worth neurosurgeon who had sued a development partner.

The Court of Appeals for the Second District of Texas ruled in favor of appellants/defendents Richard Myers, Darrell Lake, Rian Maguire and Realty Capital Partners LLC. Dr. George Cravens had sued Realty Capital, his development partners in a proposed $28 million neurological hospital planned for Summit Avenue. In 2011, he was awarded the $7.1 million following a Tarrant County trial.

The law firms for the appellants were Kelly Hart & Hallman L.L.P. of Fort Worth and Thompson Coe Cousins & Irons L.L.P. of Dallas. Cravens was represented by Carter Hampton of Hampton Associates of Fort Worth. – Robert Francis
