Fort Worth electrical contractor building new headquarters in Irving

Fort Worth-based electrical contractor CEC Cos. Is building a new corporate office in Irving that should open in October.

The two-story, 35,000 square foot building is designed by Merriman Architects and includes amenities such as a state-of-the-art employee training center, data center, employee gym and outdoor patio. The building is designed to achieve LEED certification. Smart building features include Redwood controls for lighting and building automation. Brasfield & Gorrie is the general contractor. The address is 1500 County Line Road.

The new corporate headquarters will support the growth of CEC Companies’ three business divisions (CEC Electrical, CEC Technology Group and CEC Facilities Group), according to a company spokeswoman. CEC was founded in 2009 and has more than 400 employees and $75 million in revenue.

Some of the company’s projects have included Nebraska Furniture Mart; Parkland Hospital & Parking Garage; American Airlines Integrated Operations Center and corporate headquarter buildings for Fed Ex, 7-Eleven.
