GE Transportation expands Alliance space

GE Transportation, the world’s leading maker of rail and transportation products, is expanding its presence at AllianceTexas, relocating its Global Services Operations Group into 16,573 square feet of Class A office space at Hillwood Commons I at Alliance Town Center.

GE Transportation’s Global Services Operations, which is relocating from Fossil Creek, provides the commercial and service operations for the GE Transportation division. The new Global Services Operation is located at Hillwood Commons I, which is within close proximity to GE Transportation’s locomotive manufacturing plant at AllianceTexas.

GE Transportation established its initial presence at AllianceTexas in 2012 with the opening of a state-of-the-art facility to produce advanced rail and transportation-related equipment such as the Tier 3 Evolution Series locomotive. In order to efficiently accommodate the increased administrative functions, the Global Services Operations Group decided to expand its space in the region.

“GE Transportation has been a valuable partner to Hillwood and the City of Fort Worth, a partnership that began with the establishment of its locomotive manufacturing plant at AllianceTexas,” said Reid Goetz, vice president of Hillwood. “GE Transportation operates and engages in the community with the highest level of class and integrity, and Hillwood is pleased for this opportunity to support the company’s growth in North Texas.”

In addition to GE Transportation, two other companies have recently signed leases for office space at Hillwood Commons I:

• Regus, a global workplace provider, secured approximately 15,000 square feet of office space for a new business center that will provide office space for professionals working in the north Fort Worth area.

• TEKsystems, an information technology services, staffing and management provider, is leasing approximately 10,000 square feet at Hillwood Commons I.

“Hillwood Commons I’s location at Alliance Town Center offers unmatched access to the wide range of dining, retail, residential and health and wellness options offered there,” said Steve Aldrich, senior vice president of Hillwood. “Located adjacent to Bluestem Park and offering unobstructed views as far south as Downtown Fort Worth, we are seeing significant demand for this premier office space. Leasing has been strong throughout 2016 and we anticipate Hillwood Commons I to be fully occupied before the end of this year.”
