6th Ave Homes suggests potential homebuyers attend a concert and, if so inclined, buy a house.

Owners Jamey Ice and Jimmy Williams developed an innovative approach to real estate and development, and that’s being extended to marketing their properties.

It shouldn’t be surprising since Ice is lead guitarist for Green River Ordinance, but they are doing it with music. Williams, meanwhile, is a detective in the Fort Worth Police Department.

Open houses are traditional ways to market homes for sale, but 6th Ave Homes is adding live concerts by local musicians into the mix.

The first open house show was in August with Abraham Alexander and reservations filled up in less than four hours. A second – with Grady Spencer – took 45 minutes. The next open house show is Nov. 9 with Josh Weathers.

“This new project is something the entire 6th Ave Homes team is extremely passionate about because it combines our love for music, community and real estate,” said Ice. “These open house shows are meant to bring people together and show them a home, not just a house.”

The idea is to show homes for sale in an environment where future homebuyers can envision entertaining and making their own memories in one of 6th Ave Homes’ properties. They are free, but reservations are required.
