JLL announced June 25 it has appointed industry veteran Mark Gordon to lead the Project & Development Services’ (PDS) Restaurant, Retail & Entertainment initiative for JLL’s South Central Region, that includes Texas.

Gordon will lead the firm’s development strategies for restaurant, retail and entertainment clients by providing oversight for project management services including site feasibility studies, re-branding and reinvestment strategies, planning, design, and construction for new and existing store locations across Texas, Oklahoma, Arkansas and Kansas.

Most recently, Gordon served as the Senior Vice President and Chief Operating Officer of CEC Entertainment, Inc., where he started the international division of Chuck E. Cheese’s and grew the business to 63 locations in 13 countries. Prior to CEC Entertainment, he served in various executive positions developing other popular restaurant and retail brands globally, including Applebee’s, TGI Friday’s, Italianni’s, Hollywood Video, and I Can’t Believe It’s Yogurt!

“The restaurant and entertainment sectors are evolving with advancement in technology,” said Byron Edgmon, managing director, JLL South Region Project and Development Services. “There is great consumer demand for a more interactive entertainment and dining experience. It’s imperative to have someone who understands not only what is driving consumer demand, but how to best implement a company’s brand strategies to ensure their success. The scale of Mark’s work and his incredible insight and wealth of experience working with diverse companies will allow him to make an immediate impact on behalf of our clients.”
