Kindred Hospital Tarrant County-Fort Worth Southwest, a 92-bed transitional care hospital for acute patients requiring continued care and extended recovery time, recently opened an outpatient infusion clinic for adult patients who do not require hospitalization but need to receive treatments on a regular or infrequent basis.
The new clinic, located inside the hospital, is a hub for outpatients requiring treatments such as antibiotics, blood and blood products, hydration, intravenous iron infusion, IB immunoglobulin and IV medication.
“The infusion clinic gives Kindred Hospital Tarrant County-Fort Worth Southwest yet another capability important to addressing the health care needs of area residents,” said CEO Anna Rojas. “We are excited to offer such services to the community as part of our mission to provide quality care and promote healing.”
The outpatient infusion clinic is open seven days a week from 6 a.m. to 6 p.m. Infusions are administered by trained registered nurses with physicians on duty.
Kindred Hospital Tarrant County-Fort Worth Southwest is accredited by The Joint Commission and certified by Medicare. The hospital includes 10 ICU beds, 12 PCU beds and two medical/surgical floors and is licensed as a specialty hospital focusing on acute patients requiring longer than average length of stay.
Services include ventilator weaning, pre- and post-operative complex wound care, medically complex/multi-system failure management, and inpatient and outpatient pulmonary rehabilitation. The hospital also offers acute rehabilitation services for post-CVA, brain injury, amputation, vascular diseases, pre- and post- renal and liver transplant, and speech and language disorders. The hospital also offers dialysis, total parenteral nutrition and antibiotic management.
