LongHorn Steakhouse opened its doors March 26 in Plano at 3421 N. Central Expressway, marking the first Dallas-area location for the Orlando-based steak restaurant.
LongHorn has more than 500 restaurants across 41 states and is known for its boldly seasoned steaks.
The Plano location in 5,850 square feet and has room for more than 200 guests. Ten steak cuts are featured on the menu and there are six signature seasoning blends available. The new location offers the biggest local beverage selection ever found at a local LongHorn,
including offerings from Plano-based distillery Herman Marshall, as well as other local craft beers and whiskeys. The restaurant’s interior features historical photos of Plano dating back to 1897, in partnership with the Plano Public Library.
The menu has a Texas feel with items such as the USDA Prime Delmonico, Texas Brisket Queso, and cocktails like the Desert Pear Margarita.
Managing Partner Kyle Souder has been part of the restaurant industry for more than 17 years. Originally from Rector, Arkansas, he began his career with LongHorn nearly six years ago.
LongHorn is owned by Darden Restaurants Inc. whose other brands include: Olive Garden, Cheddar’s Scratch Kitchen, Yard House, The Capital Grille, Seasons 52, Bahama Breeze and Eddie V’s. Darden acquired the Cheddar’s Scratch Kitchen locations in April 2017. – CCBP Staff
