Longtime Sundance Square restaurant to close

Daddy Jack’s Lobster & Chowder House, a seafood reastaurant in Sundance Square for 19 years, is shutting its doors this week.

The restaurant’ posted a note on the establishment’s Facebook page.

“To all of our loyal friends, family, and patrons, we are saddened to say the time has come that we close the doors to our Fort Worth location. It’s been an incredible 19 years and we invite you all to come celebrate with us this coming weekend. Sunday, January 13th will be our last service,” the note said.

The restaurant opened before Sundance Square became a happening place for restaurants, retail and business. The Dallas location of Daddy Jack’s closed several years ago.

The closing does open up a prime spot in downtown at 353 Throckmorton St.
