Rachael Marker, a principal and shareholder in the Fort Worth office of Arcturis, is the new president of the Fort Worth Rotary Club downtown.

Marker was installed June 28, becoming the fourth woman to hold the office since the club was founded in 1913. Women were allowed into the club in 1986.

“I became involved in Rotary in 2006 and was drawn to the ‘Service Above Self’ motto that I live my life by. Our Rotary Club embraces this motto to its core,” Marker said in an Arcturis news release.

“What is exciting is that we are evolving every day, and I am very excited to be part of the evolution. We have a very exciting year planned ahead,” she said.

“Rachel has distinguished herself in the Rotary Club of Fort Worth through a series of progressively more challenging leadership roles,” said Andy Taft, president of Downtown Fort Worth Inc. and a former Rotary Club president. “Her ability to build teams and shepherd a vision through completion makes her an outstanding choice for club president.”

Marker was named a Great Woman of Texas in 2008 by the Fort Worth Business Press and Volunteer of the Year in 2012 by the Ryan Family YMCA.

She holds a graduate certificate in marketing from the SMU Cox School of Business, and a certificate in marketing and a BBA from the American College of Business, University of Iowa Affiliate.

Marker is a 2018 graduate of Leadership Fort Worth’s LeaderPrime program.

In addition to the Rotary Club, Marker’s civic involvement includes Downtown Fort Worth Inc., the Fort Worth Chamber of Commerce, the Fort Worth Metropolitan Black Chamber of Commerce, the Fort Worth Hispanic Chamber of Commerce, the Society for Marketing Professional Services, the United States Department of State Virtual Fellow Program Advisor and Junior Achievement of the Chisholm Trail.
