JLL has negotiated a new 4,634-square-foot office lease for HeartSciences. The medical device manufacturer will relocate their corporate headquarters to Granite Place I at Southlake Town Square located at 550 Reserve Street in Southlake, JLL announced June 1..

JLL Managing Director Steve Thelen and Vice President Kimarie Ankenbrand negotiated the lease on behalf of the tenant. Granite Properties’ Burson Holman and Avery Bush represented the owner.

“Granite Place I provides an ideal real estate solution that allows the innovators at HeartSciences to continue their mission of developing medical devices that enable accurate, affordable screening for early detection of heart disease,” said Thelen. “Their development and innovation blends perfectly within the growing Southlake submarket and their tenant base. We’re excited to play a role in securing their new corporate home.”

HeartSciences was formerly known as Heart Test Laboratories and was located at 1301 Solana Blvd., Suite 1527 in Westlake. The company uses patented proprietary technology to develop medical devices that focus on the early detection of heart disease. Its first product, MyoVista, is a technologically advanced medical (electrocardiography) device that uses proprietary technology to assist in the early detection of heart disease.

According to JLL Research, at the end of 2016, the Westlake/Southlake submarket had the highest net absorption percentage in Fort Worth with 2.8% fueling premium rates for office space in the market.
