DFW Airport Mueller
Atlanta-based Mueller Co. LLC will open a 26,250-square foot Southwest Region distribution center at Dallas Fort Worth International Airport, signing a class A long-term lease for its 13th location in North America.
The new Mueller distribution center will be housed in Logistics Center 7 at 775 N. Royal Lane, Irving. Construction will start the week of Sept. 30 with the the build-out of the shell space taking approximately two months to complete.
“Mueller has a large customer base in Dallas/Fort Worth and throughout the Southwest. They needed a new distribution center to service the region,” said Nick Talley, senior vice president and managing partner of Dallas-based Bradford Commercial Real Estate Services. He and Brandon Alexander, broker associate, represented the tenant.
Talley says the six-month site search was focused on DFW Airport projects. “It’s centrally located in the metroplex. We had three options,” he adds, “and this one was the most competitive.” Talks went full circle in less than 30 days.
Mueller Co.’s lease takes the 74,375-square foot Logistics Center 7 to 100% occupancy. Steve Trese of CBRE represented the landlord, EastGroup Properties LP.
Mueller Co. LLC is an affiliate of publicly traded Mueller Water Products Inc. The company is a leading manufacturer and marketer of products and services used in the transmissions, distribution and measurement of water in North America. The company’s broad product and service portfolio includes engineered valves, fire hydrants, pipe connection and repair products, metering products, leak detection and pipe condition assessment. Mueller has a facility in Brownsville and nine others in the U.S. and two in Canada.
