New TownePlace Suites to come to Fort Worth

128-suite hotel to open in the heart of the Medical District

According to Marriott International, on average a new TownePlace Suites opens every six days. Well, Fort Worth’s time has come!

TownePlace Suites by Marriott Fort Worth University/Medical Center is set to open its doors Friday, March 23, at 3450 W. Vickery Blvd. The new hotel will operate as a Marriott franchise, managed by Irving’s Icon Lodging.

“We are excited with the continued growth of the TownePlace Suites brand in the Fort Worth area,” Diane Mayer, TownePlace Suites vice president and global brand manager, said in a news release.

“At TownePlace Suites, we get it. We want to go above and beyond to do everything we can to make our guests feel comfortable,” Mayer continued. “We encourage our guests to be real, and help them to do so by providing a seamless residential atmosphere with a friendly staff who genuinely care about our guests. That is what our brand is all about, and this property is a great example of that.”

A floor-to-ceiling TowneMap featuring places to eat and explore will assist guests in getting to know Fort Worth.

TownePlace Suites Fort Worth University/Medical Center is located just outside downtown near Texas Christian University and the Medical District. The release said this location will offer guests easy access to the convention center, Sundance Square, the Fort Worth Zoo and the Stockyards.

The property will feature king studio, two queen studio and one-bedroom suites with full kitchens, and separate living/working and sleeping areas. The one-bedroom suites will feature balconies and, according to the release, most rooms will also have a Home Office Suite so guests can work and relax on their own timetable.
