Nissan USA and Sundance Square have signed a one-year deal which includes Nissan’s sponsorship of Sundance Square Plaza and the events within. The price of the deal was not disclosed.

“The plaza has been a great success story since we opened in 2013,” said Tracy Gilmour, director of marketing for Sundance Square, in a news release.

“We continually work on developing new ideas and partnerships that keep customers engaged and excited,” Gilmour said in the release. “Nissan is a perfect fit – they have a focus on community and providing exciting moments. Working together, we will bring even more excitement to our visitors.”

The Nissan partnership includes a signage and vehicles in Sundance Square, a Texas letter photo opportunity and the opportunity for free Nissan giveaways. Additionally, Nissan will be included in Sundance Square’s advertising and promotions for music and other activities in the Sundance Square Plaza.

Sundance Square and Nissan have already been using their partnership during the Nissan College 100 Die Hard Fan Mobile Tour. Additionally, Nissan vehicles were featured in the downtown plaza in early September for a Texas Christian University home game in addition to being present at two of Sundance Square’s Bands on the Bricks music series events.

“Nissan is thrilled to be a part of Sundance Square – a visionary combination of modern and historic, a place where past and future intersect, which makes it a perfect setting to feature Nissan – we have history here in Texas and are always ready for new adventures that bring the community together,” said Mitchell Hotta, regional sales and marketing manager for Nissan North America, in the release.

“Nissan has enjoyed a 35-year presence in Texas, which began with our financial arm Nissan Motor Acceptance Corporation back in 1981,” Hotta said in the release. “Texas is also home to 70-plus Nissan dealerships and 7,000-plus employees – all who are highly involved in their local communities.”
