Some of the area’s most experienced real estate leaders have merged their companies to become Tarrant County’s largest locally owned brokerage.
Ty Williams, Will Northern and Michael Crain announced Oct. 1 they have partnered and merged their companies to form Williams Northern Crain LLC, to be known as WNC. The Fort Worth-based company will provide residential and commercial real estate services, as well as property management.
Williams comes from the residential real estate side, while Northern has built a solid commercial real estate business. Crain joins the team bringing operational leadership and property management to the group as well as years of experience in the real estate world with a focus on luxury real estate.
“We (Northern and Williams) have built both of our firms on providing premier service for our clients. WNC will continue to conduct business with integrity, professionalism and engagement with each and every client we represent,” said Northern, who founded Northern Realty Group in 2010. “We want to be known as Fort Worth’s largest go to brokerage for all real estate needs.”
As a community leader and businessman, he and his group played a significant role in the revitalization of Fort Worth’s Near Southside, partnering with developers and business owners. Northern Realty Group brings more than 20 agents to the partnership.
Williams, founder and broker of RJ Williams & Company LLC, adds his specialty of residential real estate to the brokerage.
Williams is not only a real estate broker. He is a Texas Real Estate Commission Instructor & Certified Negotiations Expert. Williams will bring more than 60 experienced and talented agents from Fort Worth-based RJ Williams & Company to the partnership.

Crain also serves as the District 3 Director for Fort Worth Councilman Brian Byrd and various nonprofit boards in the area, while Northern has been chair of the city’s Zoning Commission.

The merger comes as Fort Worth and Tarrant County continue to show strength in both residential and commercial real estate.
According to a new report from CBRE, there are 25 leased office projects in the construction pipeline totaling 5.4 million square feet in the Dallas-Fort Worth area, with a pre-leased rate of 22%, indicating continuing strength in the office market. While residential sales have slowed down from the white-hot market of 2018, sales remain strong.
WNC, its partners and team of agents will celebrate the launch of this new endeavor on Oct. 17, with a kick-off celebration at the historic Fort Worth Recreation Building.
