One killed, two injured in Haltom City ceiling collapse

HALTOM CITY, Texas (AP) — One worker has been killed and two others were hurt when part of a vacant warehouse-type building in North Texas collapsed during renovations.

Haltom City police say the deadly accident happened Thursday morning.

Fire Marshal Fred Napp says a second story in the structure collapsed onto the first floor.

Further details weren’t immediately available on the victims or a possible cause of the accident.

Haltom City is 5 miles northeast of Fort Worth.
