Orthopedic &Spine Center moving, expanding in Fort Worth

Fort Worth Business Press obtains some of its Real Deals content through a partnership with Xceligent Inc., a commercial real estate research firm.

Texas Non-Surgical Orthopedic & Spine Center in east Fort Worth is moving and expanding after a local investor purchased the 7,500-square-foot Overlook Centre at 1200 Overlook Terrace just months before the medical center’s lease expires at an adjacent property.

The medical facility plans to move Sept. 1 to a 2,800-square-foot remodeled office space at Overlook Centre. In leaving its current office at 5601 Bridge St., the medical center will gain 800 square feet. The new location will be in the former office of Dr. Gerald Daniel, who recently retired.

VERIZON SELLS IRVING CAMPUS,

WILL STAY AT HQ LOCATION

Verizon has sold its Irving campus to a Chicago investor in a $344 million transaction but will retain part of the property at Hidden Ridge Road near Texas Highway 114 for possible future development.

The 1.15 million-square-foot complex was acquired by Mesirow Realty Sale-Leaseback Inc., a division of Mesirow Financial, a diversified financial services firm.

Verizon will continue to occupy the regional headquarters, with the sale having no impact on the company’s business operations at the location, according to the company. Verizon plans to rent its offices for at least 20 years. The campus has about 2,800 full-time employees and contractors but that number is expected to reach 3,500 by year’s end.

Cushman & Wakefield served as financial adviser and agent for Verizon.

Verizon and its predecessor company, GTE, have occupied the facility since its construction in 1991.
