Range Resources Corp. plans to occupy more of its downtown Fort Worth office space currently subleased to Transwestern Commercial Services LLC.

“Range isn’t taking more space,” said Matt Carthey, a partner with the Fort Worth office of Holt Lunsford, which manages the Two City Place building that both Range and Transwestern occupy at 100 Throckmorton St.

“They’re simply reoccupying space they subleased for a short period,” Carthey said.

Occupying that 8,700-square-foot, seventh floor space is Transwestern, which moved in on May 2012.

Range occupies 105,000 square feet between the seventh and 12th floor, as well as the 14th floor. Its lease expires on Jan. 31, 2018, according to information from Xceligent Inc., a commercial real estate research firm.

Transwestern, whose lease expires in 2018, has not decided where it will relocate.

“Right now, we’re exploring our options,” said Kyle Poulson, a partner with Transwestern, among 26 employees who work at the location. Those options include 777 Main St., formerly the Carter Burgess Plaza, as well as space on the west side of town, Poulson said.
