Real Deals: GOLBAL FIRM ACQUIRES PASTOR, BEHLING & WHEELER

Golder, a global engineering and consulting company, announced May 7 that it is acquiring Texas-based environmental engineering and consulting firm Pastor, Behling & Wheeler LLC (PBW), a news release said.

The deal was expected to close by the end of May.

PBW is headquartered in Round Rock and operated five offices throughout the state, including one in Fort Worth. The company provides specialized environmental engineering and consulting services for clients in Texas and throughout the United States.

PBW’s core services include site investigation, remediation, and closure; environmental compliance and permitting support; and environmental engineering design.

WEEKLEY HOMES PLANS

AGE-LIMITED DEVELOPMENT

Dallas-based David Weekley Homes, the nation’s largest privately held home builder, has announced a new push into the housing market for adults 55 and older in the Dallas area with Encore by David Weekley Homes in Elements at Viridian–Signature and Traditional Series.

Located in the master-planned community of Viridian in Arlington, this gated community will have about 300 homes. Situated on 45- and 50-foot homesites, the two series will offer a combined 10 floor plans ranging in size from 1,900 to 3,100 square feet, each with a front porch and two-car garages Lawn maintenance will be included with HOA dues.

“We’re happy to introduce our Encore line of homes in Arlington,” said Ken McDonald, area president for David Weekley Homes in Dallas. “Designed with our 55-plus customers in mind, these homes will include open, single-level floor plans with plenty of options for customization.”

Encore envisions active adult living by combining the privacy of designated amenities with the camaraderie and interaction of a larger community. Future plans include an amenity center with a clubhouse and fitness center, gathering space, outdoor living area and pool. There will also be a game room and nearby trails for residents.

Armet Dale Street Ltd. purchased 1420 Northpark Drive, a 31,128-square-foot industrial property in Fort Worth, from Cameo America Corp. Transwestern’s Jeff Givens and Todd Hawpe acted as intermediaries in the transaction.

Quorum Architects Inc. purchased a 12,000-square-foot office building at 825 Vickery Blvd. in Fort Worth. Jim Sager and Linda Claytor of Transwestern represented the sellers in the transaction.

American Builders & Contractors Supply Co. Inc. sold a 46,651-square-foot industrial property at 8144 West Freeway in White Settlement to NA Realty Investments Ltd. Jeff Givens and Todd Hawpe of Transwestern represented the buyer. Mark Collins and Shannon Johnston of Cushman & Wakefield represented the seller.

LEASES

Texas Elite Vending signed a new lease for 13,600 square feet of industrial space at 4101 Murray Ave. in Haltom City. Todd Hawpe of Transwestern represented the landlord, Random Properties.
