Walnut Creek Academy snaps up three-building Mansfield campus Walnut Creek Academy has purchased a three-building campus at 1751 N. Walnut Creek Dr. in Mansfield after leasing the property since late spring. Anticipating future expansion for the school, formerly named Walnut Creek Private School, officials bought the campus with plans to add fourth grade in the 2015-16 academic year. It now offers pre-kindergarten through third grade. It plans to offer high school classes within five years. The operator, CCAL Walnut Creek Private School LLC, also plans to house its corporate office at the site. “The acquisition of this campus will give us the opportunity to keep students in our schools from the beginning of their education to graduation,” said Charles Stidham, Walnut Creek CEO, in a news release. “We want to provide parents with the opportunity to have the best education for their children, a safe environment and one that is affordable,” Stidham said. The transaction began at a broker-to-broker networking session when Wayne Burgdorf of Coldwell Banker Commercial Alliance DFW learned that the campus had been on the market. Just a few months earlier, a Coldwell official and Stidham had discussed an expansion in the Mansfield market.
