The Fort Worth City Council on Tuesday approved contracts with CBRE Inc. and TIG Real Estate Services to provide marketing and leasing services, along with property management services for the Houston Street Garage first floor restaurant and retail spaces.
The Houston Street garage, built in 2009, has approximately 20,000 square feet of ground floor space designed for restaurant and retail tenants to support patrons of the Fort Worth Convention Center and the downtown community.
The Property Management and Public Works Departments will use the contracts to market, lease and manage the property located at 1200 Houston St., using the two contracted firms to focus on upscale restaurants and retail business.
The contracts run through April 4, 2022 and provide a termination clause if the vendor is not performing to the standards acceptable the City.
A city source said no restaurants or stores are currently considered, with the idea being a search in earnest would begin once a contract is in place.
