After the frantic, year-long roller coaster ride of indecision, the familia Rojas, led by owner Regino Rojas, is moving their beloved Revolver Taco Lounge to the space recently vacated by Sera Dining on Forest Park.

Fans got another six month reprieve in January, but now the move is official after landing the perfect location. “Yes we are relocating from the West Seventh location to the former Sera space,” said Regino Rojas.

Rojas gushed about his relationship with his real estate broker, Rodger Chieffalo owner of Chieffalo Realty, who helped him located and land the posh Forest Park address. “Roger is a person with vision. Roger clicked with my idea and he could really visualize what I was trying to do there. “He was a great aid helping me translate my idea to the landlord.”

Revolver Taco Lounge plans to close their doors on West Seventh for good at the end of July. “We are doing a face lift to the new space. We are looking to open the Forest Park location at the end of July or the middle of August,” he said. “The Deep Ellum location is still in the works. We just got permits from the city of Dallas, so the construction on that location will start soon.”

Revolver has a loyal following, because their authentic dishes, including guisados, moles, carnitas and ceviches which are simply one-of-a-kind originals in Fort Worth. You can’t get this kind of Mexican food outside of interior Mexico. The libations are another huge draw, made from artisanal fresh fruit syrups.

The space at 2418 Forest Park has been through several changes. It had a long run as Belgian inspired Sapristi! Bistro and Wine Bar, followed by the highly rated, Spanish style Sera Dining. But, this truly seems the perfect spot for Revolver to finally holster their guns…tucked into an equally affluent neighborhood, but with ample parking this time around.

“We are moving to a better and bigger location, the Forest Park area is perfect for the house of Revolver Part Deux!” Rojas said. “I was looking for a neighborhood that truly represents Fort Worth and its values. Forest Park is a solid neighborhood that represents everything Fort Worth stands for. We will be happy and proud to be part of this community.”

Revolver should be a magnet in this expanded space. “The new space is approximately 3,500 square feet. It’s almost three times the size of our current location,” Rojas said. “This will give us room to have an area dedicated to our popular brunch buffet. We will also have a sophisticated, clean and friendly, mid-century modern bar, and another area for large groups and families.”

Staples like Black Rooster Bakery and the Greek House will happily welcome them to the neighborhood. “The past five years have been such an amazing learning process for me,” said Rojas. “I analyzed this business all these years and the people of Fort Worth molded Revolver Taco.”
