Ricky Bobby Sports bar parking in north Fort Worth

Ricky Bobby Sports Saloon, a new restaurant and sports bar with a NASCAR racing theme, will open July 25 down the road apiece from the Texas Motor Speedway. The restaurant and sports bar, opening at 11 a.m. on Thursday July 25 at 2200 NE Loop 820, is the latest concept from Houston-based Rick’s Cabaret International Inc.

The restaurant features a menu designed by restaurant consultant David Simmons to appeal to dining – and driving – enthusiasts – including what it bills as the largest chicken fried steak in Texas.

“We have traditional items with a Ricky Bobby flair such as our Mac ‘n Cheese Bacon Burger, Crazy Corn, Funnel Cake, and yes, the largest Chicken Fried Steak in Texas,” said Simmons in a news release.

The Ricky Bobby restaurant includes multiple giant flat screen televisions throughout, plus a 3,000 square foot outdoor patio with fire pits, fountains and a stage for live band performances. A fountain and an authentic NASCAR racer with the number 39 and a Ricky Bobby logo greet guests. Ricky Bobby is a fictional character from a Will Ferrell film.
