Shipping containing/office project starts stacking up in Fort Worth

Connex project begins on Jan. 23, 2018 on Evans Ave.

The Connex Fort Worth project – an office building made entirely of shipping containers – is rapidly approaching closeout with final placement of the remaining shipping containers Jan. 23. The new building is at 1201 Evans Ave.

The building is constructed of modified 20- and 40-foot shipping containers that will be finished into individual offices for startup and also serve as the main offices for Melchiors Architects, currently housed in IDEA Works FW, a business incubator just west of I-35W along East Rosedale Street.

A 140-foot crane lifted the final 40-foot section of the design into place Tuesday afternoon.
